Reflection on the Gospel of the Holy Week: Palm Sunday Of The Passion Of The Lord |
Luke 22:14-23:56 |
Jesus is unlike any other. There is no other God who loves us as much. Although He was God and an earthly descendant of King David, Jesus does not want to laud it over his people with arrogance of power but humility through love. This love is perfected in Jesus’ love for the Father by following His divine Will. Jesus undergoes humiliation, pain, abuse on our behalf. Yes, we were supposed to be in His place deserving death. He accepted this because he knew and loved his Heavenly Father. Jesus sought his comfort in God alone. God seeks us this Holy Week. Journey with him to the cross by meditating and reflecting on the Palm Sunday Gospel. Receive what the Lord seeks to share with you in prayer. Give him an open heart, an open mind, and open ears. May this Holy Week invite you into a more intimate encounter with God. May you, like Jesus, seek comfort in God.
