Interestingly, there are two sets of Laws that are to be found in the Pentateuch. The First being the simple and more direct words of God as commandments to the Israelites, namely the Ten Commandments. After that in a way God disassociated with the Israelites, and the working rules and regulations sometimes given by God through Moses, like the instructions for the building of the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle, but mostly the other rules and regulations were given by Moses, among others the concession of divorce.

Sin As Anchors

Spiritually we can be likened to a ship, and this ship needs to flow in the River of Life (Holy Spirit), who continuously is transforming us and renewing us. But we also need to have Jesus in our Ship as the anchor (security) of our life. In sinning we are dropping anchors every time we indulge is sin.

Come Back…

Come Back…

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.

Our Father

Answering of Prayers

God invites everyone to have a personal rapport with Him. Yes everyone. But then what are the things that don’t let us get into a personal, working and everyday/every moment relationship with God?

Fasting

Isaiah speaks of fasting as not the act of skipping a meal/s. He says it is about being like God, i.e. seeking God’s heart each day and living according to who God is, since we are made in God’s image and likeness.

The Two Paths

In giving the Law, God makes us aware of what is life and good, death and evil. But like the perfect gentleman that He is, he does not impose upon us, His will. He shows us that we may make an informed choice and decision.
