Reflection on the Gospel of the Thursday In The Fifth Week Of Easter |
John 15: 9-11 |
What a blessing it is to have His joy in us and be overflowing with it in our lives. A Blessing indeed to be fully satisfied in Jesus’ Joy and Presence in us.
Jesus experienced the Father’s love and joy even in his passion and on the cross. He even experienced the Father’s love and joy even when people mocked, denied, betrayed, rejected, while healing, while doing miracles… The Fathers love and joy was his source of living and the strength to carry on. Today’s Gospel reading is promising us this same joy. We can identify it as being the person of Jesus, and to be in a relationship with Him. He is our source, hence we stand on the solid rock that He is, and face our difficulties, hardships and pain. We need to hold on to the unchanging constant, that GOD IS WITH US, sinner or no sinner, faithful or fallen, He is there and He makes available His Love and Joy. Lets invite Jesus constantly and without hesitation, into our life, just like Lazarus, Mary and Martha.
Holy Spirit help me to grow and abide in Your Love and Joy and be able to share Your Love and Joy with everyone around.
