Reflection on the Gospel of the Thursday Of The Second Week In Ordinary Time(Christian Unity Week) |
Mark 3:7-12 |
Jesus had worked miracles and healed many by now. He held in high esteem and honour. Great numbers journeyed to meet him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, beyond the Jordan, and the region around Tyre and Sidon represented large Jewish and also gentile population and all different directions. Many who travelled received healing and cure from diseases only a touch was enough. The crowd saw Jesus as a healer of diseases. The demons recognized Jesus as The Son of God, they fell down before him, they testified him shouting “You are the Son of God!” but Jesus silenced them as it was too early for people to grasp his identity, also did not want people to be miracle depended. He chose to be gradual and let people know him as a suffering servant. Lord help me to be a servant to work in your Kingdom, reach the multitudes and testify you. Holy Spirit Heal me, Clean me, give me the strength and courage to work in your Kingdom.
