Being called!.. Jesus calls the specific disciples and they come and he appointed twelve of them as his apostles with a specific task to preach and heal the people. These were the ones who were closest to him and had developed a personal relationship with him. Other than Judas Iscariot who betrayed him, all the others proved to be one with Christ in his mission, zealously following Christ and preaching the Word of God. The ones who established an apostolic Church with the authority of Christ.
We are also called to be as members of his Church to journey with Christ and listen to his call of discipleship. Our choice of response will make a difference!
