Reflection on the Gospel of the Thursday In The Twenty-Fifth Week In Ordinary Time |
Luke 9:7-9 |
While Jesus’ teaching and Healing brought comfort to many, Herod was somehow uncomfortable, not because of Jesus’ ministry but because of his own previous actions and guilty conscience of having put John the Baptist to death.. Are we ready to accept mistakes pointed out to us and change ourselves, or challenge ourselves or do we tend to rebel. Are we only curious about Jesus or are we ready to repent and change. Let us seek the Lord in reverence and not out of worldly fear. Holy Spirit bless us with the gift of Reverence – i.e the holy fear of the Lord.
