Matthew 6:19-23
For most part of our lives we are chasing different goals and the goal post only keeps moving.; first studies, then the job, then building up wealth for the family etc etc.. the list is endless! As we chase these needs of ours we forget to ‘just live the moment’ and enjoy that moment in time. Ironically, when we look back, what pops up are those few cherished moments, those happy or sad memories that define who you are today….that is the treasure that Jesus is reminding us to build up – a loving, merciful and compassionate heart.
We react to what we see, but if we can see through the veils of perceptions and prejudices and see beyond what is visible and look deeper, we will discover God and see Christ in our neighbour. Let us then be that light to each other and bring ourselves closer to our loving Father.
