Reflection on the Gospel of the Saturday In The Second Week Of Ordinary Time |
Mark 3: 20-21 |
Today’s Gospel passage talks about Jesus zeal for building Gods kingdom on the earth. Like an architect he laid a foundation with love, honest, compassion, hope, forgiveness, passion, kindness, and gentleness in the heart of poor and downtrodden people. These poor people highly honored Jesus and his teaching. They started practicing the same thus there was a tremendous change in the community and in the life of poor people which made other people to call Jesus as “ He is out of mind” .
Jesus well scheduled and trained his disciples and sent them ahead to the place where he planned to go. He and his discipes were busy with their work and found that they could not have time to take rest or eat food on time. John 4:34 Jesus says, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work.” so he never felt physical Hunger as his spiritual hunger not yet met. His owns friends and relation misunderstood the work of Jesus and try to stop him to move ahead, but Jesus refuse to pay attention to them and focused on his call and continued.
Yes, friends when we are anointed with spirit gifts to do Gods work then we too have to work restlessly like Jesus. On the judgement day Lord will reward people who earnestly worked to build gods kingdom in the world. Be cautious and alert to give glory to God who entrusted his work to us.
