Reflection on the Gospel of the Twenty-Fifth Sunday In Ordinary Time |
Luke 16:1-13 |
The gospel of today seems to be confusing. We are left questioning about why did the Master praise the dishonest steward even though the Master lost a good deal of money. Well firstly, we can certainly say that the Master himself did not value money and was greatly impressed when he learnt that his steward was more interested in maintaining relationships with people rather than making himself rich with stolen money.
That’s the heart of the matter – Jesus forces us to make a choice. Choose a relationship with your Master and God who doesn’t care about the losses you have caused Him or choose money.
