Reflection on the Gospel of the Friday

Luke 17:26-37 |
This passage possibly can be two sections coming from two different times of Jesus’ ministry that Luke has combined. The First is the reference to Noah, Sodom and Gomorrah, and Jesus the Sign of all Ages Himself. The Second is that of the End Times, where people will totally be unprepared (the connector between the two stories) for the final revelation of the Son of Man, before the Judgement.
Noah took 70 odd years to build the Ark, right in the middle of the desert, a sign for people to stop and ask him the reason for his madness. Noah being the High Priest of the family of God’s People, everyone aught to have paid attention, repented and turned from their wicked ways… it was not to be. On the contrary, Sodom & Gomorrah were not given any sign, but God did travel to them on the last day, to help them repent and be saved. But they had slipped so much in their wretchedness and depravity, that they missed identifying who He was, when He arrived. They were more interested in sexually abusing Him. They had to face the consequences of their blindness.
Here then was Jesus, would the authorities believe in Him or be blind in their insolence. Their actions would condemn them, not God. Take heed the, and choose wisely; The reality of Jesus is among us for more than 2000 years, we do not know when it will come to the Last Days. The readings of the past few days have been saying the same thing, ‘pay attention, do your math, and try Jesus’. He will come to you first, personally and intimately, after that he will help you see…
