Reflection on the Gospel of the Sunday: Feast Of The Holy Family(Feast: The Holy Family) |
Luke 2:41-52 |
After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.
And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.
What stood out for me in this passages is the Child Jesus’ Wisdom and perception of the questions, and the nature of the answers, which astonished the experts in Jerusalem. So if we say Jesus was human in the truest sense, in the life He lead on earth, can we say the source of his wisdom and knowledge to originate from himself? We cannot, this then opens up the understanding that Jesus already as a child has a great relationship with God, a result of this is the wisdom and quality of answers he provides in those three days, when He is lost. This only underscores the importance of a relationship we as disciples/Christians, need to have with God.
If we wait on God as Jesus did, we will grow in wisdom and understand like Him. So take this opportunity to grow in holiness. Imitate the Holy Family of Nazareth, and you will find yourself walking with God…
