Reflection on the Gospel of the Saturday

Matthew 14: 22-33 |
Today’s passage is followed by feeding 5000 thousands men besides women and children. As per Jesus instructions disciples collected the left over loaves and moved to other side of seashore . Jesus dismissed the crowds and went up to mountain for prayer. Jesus knew the forthcoming trouble faced by his disciples so he went alone and prayed to God the Father and he wanted his disciples to be trained or handled unexpected circumstances in his absence.
Here, other side of sea represents leaving from comfort zone, boat represents the life, sea represents world, wind or water represents trial or struggling, late evening (darkness) represents evil power. Jesus purposely asked his disciples to go alone in the evening and he arrived next day early morning walking on water which means Jesus crushed all the struggle faced by his disciples and triumph over evil.
By reading this passage we should not interpret that Jesus during our struggle or tough time remain silent after that he will come and console us. Jesus always play a parent role in each ones life. When a child try to walk we as a parent sit quite and watch our baby footstep. Sometime when baby fall down we remain quite and laugh the way baby take a next step to move ahead, but at the same time if anything strange to be happened to the child then immediately we stretch out our hands and protect our child. Similarly when we are struggling with our problem Jesus quietly watch us the manner we are trying our level best to solve the problem. When we are unable to overcome the problem then Jesus immediately stretch out his hands and help us, like he helped peter in the passage. All we need is faith and trust that He is in complete control of our life. Nothing harm happened to us. when I am walking with Jesus in the problem (water), no storm hit my boat and destroy my life. With great confident keep our faith and trust in Jesus and joyfully row our boat in the water.
