Reflection on the Gospel of the Thursday In The First Week Of Advent |
Matthew 7: 21, 24-27 |
Listening to his voice is the key to do God’s will and to work in his vineyard, and equally important to apply God’s instruction to our personal life. Unless we know His will in our life and give a listening ear and to understand the action he would like us to apply in our life, a key part to this is the word of God which must become the foundation of our life. Since Scripture is God’s Words to us, it is capable to help us overcome every storm that hits our life, as well as how to foster a great relationship with God.
Jesus is alerting us to work honestly and efficiently on the preparations of a project to give the final outcome, it is useless to cry and regret on the damage done. Todays word on building the house on a rock or sand is His clear instructions to us. Putting God First and building on his instructions through His Word will help us to have a strong foundation to our lives. The question to ask ourselves is are we Hearers and Doers of God’s Word? Do we allow ourselves to be guided by the Word? Are we happy only in calling on his name or are we ready and willing to meet our neighbours need. Holy Spirit help us to be Hearers and Doers of your word.
