Are we Hearers and doers of the word of God? Jesus insists in putting this teaching into practice, transmits the strength gained during prayer and worship in doing good to the Neighbours. Mere listening or feeling good in praying with no action is of no good. Hence in today’s scripture reading we see one is called foolish whereas the other is called wise. Both men had a good desire to build a House, stay happy with family, but the difference is the process, approach and the foundation. If the foundation is strong we will stand firm in any given situation of life. But many a time we just adopt the foolish man’s approach, the short cuts and quick results, foundation seems out of sight.
Lord help me today to listen to you speaking to me in different ways and to put in action your words.
Holy Spirit help me to be rooted in your word and to stand firm in the any challenging events in my life.
