Reflection on the Gospel of the Thirty-Fourth Sunday
|
Matthew 25: 31-46 |
Judgement day is one day certain. On that day shall we truly know if we have been faithful children of God.
God is Good and he is so good that our hearts will condemn us as worthy or unworthy to be standing in his presence or not. We are constantly reminded that we have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ but we need to acknowledge his sacrifice for us by living Christ like lives.
That is… we must have Christ within us. If we have Christ within us then we can reach out and share Christ with others.
You can only share something you posses. You cannot share something you do not have. You cannot share love if you don’t have love within you. Therefore, we need to make Christ the priority and King of our lives. When we consciously make him present in our daily life. Developing and building a stronger relationship with him through his Word and permitting him to be sovereign in the plans he has for us will transform us into people building his kingdom. We will be the ones with oil in our lamps when the bridegroom arrives. We will be the ones protected by the shepherd when the wolves attack. Do we trust Christ enough to make him the King of our lives?
