Reflection on the Gospel of the Saturday
|
Luke 21: 34-36 |
Each and everyone might have great plan about own life. Everyone wants wealthy and easy life. Many time our goals are related to this worldly things. We keep on moving ahead with lots of ups and down to achieve our goal. Prime motto of this worldly person is to inherit the kingdom of this world. To inherit the worldly kingdom one has to pay for it and sustain the position or else it will be taken up by some one else. There is limited seats reserved in the world hence there is competition among each of us to reach that position. Many time our healthy competition become jealous and lead us to do all evil work to achieve the position. Without realising the importance of our life we all keep running behind the world, so through gospel passage Jesus warning us and wanted us to be vigilant in our life.
As a Christian (born in Christ through sacrament of baptism) our primary motto should be to inherit kingdom of God. It is a free gift from God to become His heir. It’s time now to pause for a while and focus on heavenly things rather than on worldly things. Otherwise when Lords day come we Shall be the loser. In early Christian community apostles and all the believer anticipated the Lords day and prepared for it but it didn’t occurred, now Son of man is near to door and anytime He may come but we should vigilant and aware about the current fair and prepare ourself to inherit Gods kingdom
Lets us use this advent season fruitfully and welcome our saviour into our heart and become his heir.
Have a blessed advent season!
