Born Again

All of us set goals in our respective life and the Lord too has set a goal for us the moment we are born which is found in today’s Gospel “so that whoever believes in him may have 𝙀𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚.” Above all the goals, this is and should be our ultimate goal, 𝙀𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙇 𝙇𝙄𝙁𝙀!

When we think of ‘Eternal Life’, we do not have to think of it only as a reward after our death, but it is right here available for us today & everyday of our lives. It is already in our mist and in our hearts. How do we know this? Through the very Word of God, John 3:16 “𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙨𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙, 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙃𝙚 𝙜𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙤𝙣, 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙤𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙞𝙢 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙝, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.” and Romans 6:23 “𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙞𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙅𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙”. Thus Eternal Life does not begin with death; it begins with believing in Jesus.

As we can clearly see Eternal life is just not a place or thing, but it is Jesus, Himself. Now once this soaks deep within our being wouldn’t, we desire to keep close to Jesus more than we did yesterday.

So for us and all those who genuinely seek Eternal Life, the only condition is to Believe, believe in Jesus the Son of God, believe in His promises, believe in His warnings and believe in the one and only Holy Apostolic Church. Such is our faith wherein our Lord, Abba Father offers us all Eternal life here and now in Jesus Christ! Let us be convinced of this and share it with others, as quoted by our late Pope Benedict XVI “We cannot keep to ourselves the words of eternal life given to us in our encounter with Jesus Christ: they are meant for everyone, for every man and woman. … It is our responsibility to pass on what, by God’s grace, we ourselves have received.”
