Jesus is God, and for the love of humanity became incarnate and dwelt with humanity and became human. To be associated with God means to have fullness. And that is what we see in todays Gospel reading. Jesus going all over Judea, people flocking to Him (hope) and He extending His hand and healing.
In the Old Testament Yahweh comes and dwells alongside humanity, and listening to Solomon’s/humanities request, subjects himself to the Holy of Holies in the Temple. God Omnipotent and all powerful, subjecting himself to be enclosed to a small room. Yet he is among His people, making Himself available for the people to come and engage with Him in conversation. They can come to Him with their problems and needs.
In the Eucharist, we have God making himself available to humanity. Those who believe in this love of God, and entrust themselves to Him and ask Him – will receive, seek and they will find, knock will have doors opened to them, and they will walk with God.
Believe. At the Eucharist, be eager to meet Him, and get into a conversation with Him, and listen to Him. And even as you engage Him, you will receive His healing. You will grow into knowing His heart and be able to respond to Him. But know God desire more than anything to come and reside in you. Reflect on what this means – who are you?
