Matthew 14: 1-12 |
From the beginning onwards God continuously sending his prophets, priest and servants to lead his chosen people. Whenever these chosen people astray from Gods way of life then He condemn them through prophets. John the Baptist was the last prophet send to Israel people to return to their true God. He preach and condemned people on their evil act. He stood firm on his teaching and preaching, thus he brought many people back to God, even he strongly opposed the evil act of King Herod for which he was rewarded death.
King Herod was not pious person, he was not a righteous person, he was persecuted the people who stood against him, he was a murderer, he shed many innocent blood on the earth. When he heard about Jesus and his mission he said to his servant that John the Baptist raised from the dead and remembered the sin he did against John the Baptist. King Herod in order to sustain his oath and fame among people he killed the life of righteous person.
In today’s world like King Herod there are many people who are in power and authority is doing many illegal activity and misusing their role and responsibility in the society. Some are afraid to confront the lie and remain silent in their life. Sometimes godly person refuse to stood for truth. As chosen people we should follow the footsteps of our master like John the Baptist so our master shall praise us in front of heavenly father. Let us ask the god to give the Holy spirit to stand courageous against all evil acts happened in the life of marginalized people
