John 5:17-30
God is light and love. And he loves humanity to such an extent, that he has not stopped working to bring it back to himself. This is identified as God’s Steadfast Love. Jesus is imitating, God Father in this, himself. Culturally, a Jewish son followed in his father’s work. Jesus is a Carpenter, since Joseph was a Carpenter, but as God’s Son, he carries God’s action of Gathering All humanity to himself.
Thus
– Jesus gives life by his word when accepted by ‘Faith’.
– Those who believe are not judged or condemned.
– To pass from death to life is to come out of darkness into His light.
