Stay awake! Stay awake! For you do not know the time or the hour. So live everyday in holiness. Trim your lamps of faithful living and sustain in with the oil of faith.
We are called to be the lamps of Christ. A light for the people around. We have already been blessed with the essentials of the faith to trim our lamps. The Word of God, the sacramental life and the truth of eternal life. Staying awake everyday is just that.. being personally connected to our saviour, deeply in love with God, knowing him through his Word gives us Wisdom to discern his Will and his good plan for ourselves while living the Sacramental life gives us the strength to overcome our challenges.
Eternal life is a free gift of loving union with our bridegroom forever. Wouldn’t you want to be prepared for that day when he says I’m coming to take you with me to my kingdom? So why wait when we can prepare right now to know and love him better.
