Yesterday’s Gospel was from Matthew, today we have John. Yesterday Mary of Magdala was at the tomb with other persons, John in the Gospel today, shows that she came to the tomb alone, and found the stone moved, she then runs to the apostles and tells them the news. Peter and John come to a certain, and then the Apostles left, Mary stayed behind weeping. It is not necessary that both are telling their own story, but yes, the objective of both is different. John is glorifying Mary of Magdala, and she who saw the risen Christ first. He is highlighting her love for Jesus and encouraging us to imitate her. With Great faith comes a great response from God. John is encouraging us, no matter who we are, we all can believe and we will in turn be blessed and rewarded.

Bible Verse For Today

Alleluia, alleluia. This is the day the LORD has made;let us be glad and rejoice in it. Alleluia, alleluia.
