Faith and Belief
Faith and belief are essential to life in and with God. Unless you have it, nothing can happen in your life. Even God cannot do anything in your life. He is left at the door of our lives, knocking. The First being the simple and more direct words of God as commandments to the Israelites, namely the Ten Commandments. After that in a way God disassociated with the Israelites, and the working rules and regulations sometimes given by God through Moses, like the instructions for the building of the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle, but mostly the other rules and regulations were given by Moses, among others the concession of divorce.
Sin As Anchors
Spiritually we can be likened to a ship, and this ship needs to flow in the River of Life (Holy Spirit), who continuously is transforming us and renewing us. But we also need to have Jesus in our Ship as the anchor (security) of our life. In sinning we are dropping anchors every time we indulge is sin.
