There is a process of life that is applicable to all humanity. What decisions we make, big or small, not so important, or less important, they all become binding on us, and on our family. This is so because God has given every human being freedom, the ability to understand the nature of things and also to make binding decisions, for self and family. They are all gifts from God to us, and he will not in anyway try to override them in our practice of them. He will not exert His will on us, nor negate the execution of our decisions. But there is a missing piece, which let me explain with Adam and Eve.

Adam and Eve in their folly had disobeyed God, and thereafter pushed him out of their lives. Their being, intelligence and decision making was based on God being part of their lives, the active source of their Wisdom. But once they had pushed Him out of their lives, they had to make choices and decisions in the darkness of their beings, because the Light of God’s Wisdom was no longer in them because they had pushed God out of their lives. So whatever they decided, and the choices they made, were never perfect and they and their descendants suffered because of that. The story of Lamech, Genesis 4 illustrates the deterioration of things because of our darkened minds.

Similarly, take stock of the wisdom of the world around you. This is the same wisdom we in our ignorance cling to. We are making great advancement, but at the expense of selfishness, destruction, poverty, ecological deterioration etc. Yet we cling to the wisdom of the world. For a change cling to Jesus and His Father. Become acquainted with Him in the Bible, and then take that experience to God, in building a relationship with Him. You will discover the Truth, the Mercy and compassion of God, and His goodness.

Today’s Gospel reading invites us to receive His wisdom and imitate God in His wisdom, to stop judging, stop condemning, forgive (yourself and others), and share. The same process (which takes our weakened Wisdom to our destruction) will lift you up, bless you, and bring, peace, joy, and prosperity to your life.
