Alleluia! The Lord has Risen indeed. There’s an empty tomb that declares Jesus alive. The mourning of Good Friday has given rise to a joyful Easter. The season of Lenten brokenness has given rise to a fruitful season of Easter. No longer are we dead in our sins but alive to New life in Jesus the Risen Lord.
.
We are lucky to be witnesses,  born post the Resurrection. We are blessed to understand the significance of the New Covenant that fulfilled the Old. We are blessed to live in a Church that strengthens us to live everyday through the sacramental life. Easter isn’t just about the empty tomb. It’s a representation of hope, a representation of new creation. No longer can we be our old struggling selves if we accept that through Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection we are a new creation. Not just a new creation but Jesus makes us children of God, heirs to his Kingdom. We are baptized with His Holy Spirit, have access to Jesus and being strengthened by Him through His body and blood in the Holy Eucharist, we can receive healing and grace through the Sacraments. All of this is made possible because of Easter.
.
The adventure of life with the Lord isn’t monotonous but new every morning. His mercies and steadfast love keeps surprising us in various situations. We cannot experience the joy of this adventure that Jesus gifted us with if we keep looking back and refuse to move forward. Because He lives, I can face tomorrow… because he lives, all fear is gone… because I know, he holds the future and life is worth living because He lives.

Bible Verse For Today

Alleluia, alleluia. Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed; let us then feast with joy in the Lord. Alleluia, alleluia.
