Proceeding from yesterday’s reflection, we reflect on the aspect, “Is it I Lord?”

Many a times, we seek to be the blessing God desires us to be. Feed the poor, tend to the sick, be the voice for the voiceless, and be the salt of the earth as God desires us to be. The question I will ask is are we qualified? Qualified in knowing fully God’s heart, and His will in every situation. We start from a correct point, desiring to be the person God wants us to be. But Jesus himself said, my kingdom is not of this world. So what is His kingdom? We being in his presence. And even we as we stand in His Presence, He reveals His actions of love, which he invites us to participate in.

There is no space for self-righteousness, presumption or assumption, in the Christian Life. Jesus by His Passion, Death and Resurrection, has opened the presence of God to us, that which got closed because of Adam/Eve’s decision. Since God’s presence is open, and we can access it, then that is the way every Christian must go. For only at God’s feet is there relevance of thought, action and deed, inasmuch to say, everything we do will bear fruit. If our actions and deed do not spring from our interaction with God, than consider the scenario of the seed that fell on rocky soil…

We can see Judas is embroiled in his own self-righteous assumption of how the Christ – i.e. Jesus had to act. Even the apostles, feeling dignified in their roles as the closest friends of Jesus. What we need to understand, that there is no fixed way to go ahead, and hence we may falter and fail. But when we wait on Jesus, to understand His thoughts and choices, our actions will bear fruit.
