“You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.”

The understanding of today’s readings, are in this line. God is saying, understand your identity. Understand who you are. When you do, you will know me as Father, and yourselves as my children.

• You will know you are good like me and can be perfect like me.
• You need to shut your eyes to all external voices that speak and tell you the opposite.
• Then when you will know that you do not need to steal, because you are already provided for.
• You do not need to connive and lie, because you are taken care of.
• You will not need to indulge in falsehood because the truth reside within you, and you are not insecure.
• You will be close to me like the Apostle John, and be free of the worry and cares of the world
• You will be like me and reach out to the oppressed,
• You will reach out to provide for those around you, even as you see things around you multiplying
• You will tend and welcome those with problems
• You will be just even when it hurts you
• You will not need to pull people down, because you will know them as your brothers and sisters
• You will settle disagreements, in giving up your claim, know your Father in Heaven has already compensated you for the same.
• You will know everyone as friends and therefore will not fight them.
