The first point speaks of Samuel as one who had a lifelong Nazorean Oath, just like Samson. We hardly speak of this part of dedication to Yahweh. But it makes sense in the context of what Hannah promises Yahweh, ‘will give to your servant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life…’

To be God’s Companion

In reading the first reading, was surprised at the language Hannah is using in talking of God, she says she is lending to God what is already His. Such language is very often heard between married couples. Meaning we get to see the relationship that Hannah had developed with Yahweh, and her trust in Him.
