Why do we have to love God? Love was the reason that we were created, created in God’s own image, reflecting Him in all sense. If God is Love, then we are also love, but we have covered this aspect of ourselves under a lot of stuff, to the extent  the sense and understanding of Love is confused by everyone today. If you want to understand Love, look at God; rejected yet faithful, not wanted yet aiding and providing for humanity, securing humanity all the time. Finally, look at God on the cross, dying for our sake, that we may live.

But why love God? Look at a husband and wife, and you will know to love and give, and do everything for your better half is all joy. All this echoes who we are; born of love, children of love with love at the core of our beings. If we forsake this truth, we will never be fully satisfied. The Love of God teaches us to love everyone around. To Love is to be our true and perfect selves. And that is what we see Jesus telling us, be yourself, love, do not forsake love…

Love is patient and kind;
love does not envy or boast;
it is not arrogant
 or rude.
It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing,
but rejoices with the truth.

Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Love never ends.
(1 Corinthians 13)
