Fasting
Isaiah speaks of fasting as not the act of skipping a meal/s. He says it is about being like God, i.e. seeking God’s heart each day and living according to who God is, since we are made in God’s image and likeness.
The Two Paths
In giving the Law, God makes us aware of what is life and good, death and evil. But like the perfect gentleman that He is, he does not impose upon us, His will. He shows us that we may make an informed choice and decision.
