The Report of the Guard
Reflection on the Gospel of the Monday Within Easter Octave Matthew 28: 8-15 Of today’s 8 verses of Gospel reading, 5 are on the yarn spun by the Jewish authorities and the Tomb Guards, and 3 verses are on the women who very early in the morning on the third-day of Jesus’ Burial, went […]
The Resurrection of Jesus
Reflection on the Gospel of the EASTER SUNDAY/THE LORD’S RESURRECTION John 20: 1-9 I am the resurrection and the life says the Lord. Easter Sunday is proof of these words. Alleluia! Alleluia! The Plot to Kill Jesus
We began this week with the readings of the woman caught in adultery (John 8), yesterday we read from John 10 where Jesus presents himself as the Good Shepherd, and today’s reading is from John 11, where Jesus raises Lazarus to life. The messages are clear in all the flow of John’s Gospel. We are those who are dead in our spirit and therefore our living is like the living dead.
